Sales Policy

Rite Choice Dairy would like to thank you for choosing us. We care a great deal about our goats and want them to have happy, healthy homes. Kids are dis-budded, tattooed, given coccidia preventative, wormed if needed, and receive both CD/T’s before leaving our farm. Rite Choice Dairy reserves the right to retain any goat born on our farm.  Goats are only sold in pairs unless you already own goats. Our herd is tested annually and is negative for CAE, CL, and Johnes. Our goats are guaranteed to be in good health when they leave us, but once they are out of our hands, we can no longer be held responsible. We offer a limited reservation list. Please see below. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

We no longer offer a general waiting list; however, we do take reservations on specific breeding pairs. Once the breeding plans are posted, there will be one doeling and one buckling reservation available, per pair. If you choose to reserve a buckling or doeling from a specific breeding, a $50 nonrefundable deposit will be required to hold your reservation. If a buckling or doeling is born from that pair your $50 deposit will be applied to that kid. If you decide not to purchase what you reserved, regardless of color, spots, or eye color, your deposit will be forfeited. We will not hold reservations based on coat color, polled, moonspots, or eye color! If the sex you chose is not born, you can roll your reservation to the following year or it will be returned.

Please, contact us to be placed on our reservation list. We ask that you respond within 48 of being contacted when your kid is born.

**** The only exception to the reservation list is if you have chosen a kid and would like a second, you will be placed on a waiting list and have first right of refusal of future kids born the same year, after any reservations have been filled.

Kids will be ready to leave at 9-12 weeks of age and must be picked up by 14 weeks of age. Those not picked up by 14 weeks of age will be charged a $2 per day boarding fee, unless prior arrangements are made.

As kids are born reservations will be filled first. All other babies will be posted on our Facebook page as available or retained. If you would like to purchase a specific kid, a $100 deposit per goat is required to hold your goat(s) until weaning. Deposits can be made via cash, by Zelle, by PayPal (friends and family only) or we will accept a check for a deposit. Returned check fee of $30 will be charged to any returned checks.  Any goat not picked up by 14 weeks of age or the pre-set date will be charged $2 per day boarding fee. Any goat not picked up after 30 days of scheduled pick up date will result in all deposits being forfeited and the goat being put back up for sale. Deposits are non-refundable. Once buyer has cancelled the sale, paid deposits cannot be applied to future purchases and deposit is forfeited. Deposits can NOT be moved to another kid if you decide you like another one born later better. When we have received a deposit on a goat, it will be marked as “Sale Pending.” Final payment must be made in cash, by Zelle, or by PayPal (friends and family only) at the time of pick up. All transportation arrangements and costs incurred are the buyer’s responsibility. The cost of Health Certificates, as well as any additional testing requested, is the responsibility of the buyer. Please let us know in advance if you need a Health Certificate or any extra testing as it requires a vet visit and must be scheduled in advance.

Our Mini Nubians are registered with MDGA. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay the registration and transfer fees for kids that are sold with the registration applications. Adults are sold with the certificate and bill of sale. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay the transfer fee and put the goat into their name. The cost to replace lost or damaged registration applications or certificates is $25. Payment must be received before we will send out replacement paperwork.
