Rite Choice Dairy would like to thank you for choosing us. We care a great deal about our goats and want them to have happy, healthy homes. Kids are dis-budded, tattooed, given coccidia preventative, wormed if needed, and receive both CD/T’s before leaving our farm. Rite Choice Dairy reserves the right to retain any goat born on our farm. We do our best to fill our reservations, but we have no control over what is born. Goats are only sold in pairs unless you already own goats. Our herd is tested annually and is negative for CAE, CL, and Johnes. Our goats are guaranteed to be in good health when they leave us, but once they are out of our hands, we can no longer be held responsible. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
Reservations
Kids are sold on a first come first serve basis off of our reservation list. Please, contact us to be placed on our list. There is a separate reservation list for doelings and bucklings. If you’d like to be placed on both please let us know. If you state you are only looking for specific features or for a specific breeding, you will only be notified if a kid that matches your specific criteria is born. You will be notified of available kids as we work through our list in order of received reservation requests. We ask that you respond within 48 hours or we will move on to the next person on the list. Kids will be ready to leave at 10-12 weeks of age and must be picked up by 14 weeks of age. Those not picked up by 14 weeks of age will be charged a $2 per day boarding fee, unless prior arrangements are made.
Deposit
No deposit is required to be put on the waiting list. Once your requested kid is born and you select your goat(s), a $100 deposit per goat is required to hold your goat(s) until weaning. Deposits can be made via cash, by Venmo, by PayPal (friends and family only) or we will accept a check for a deposit. Returned check fee of $30 will be charged to any returned checks. Any goat not picked up by 14 weeks of age or the pre-set date will be charged $2 per day boarding fee. Any goat not picked up after 30 days of scheduled pick up date will result in all deposits being forfeited and the goat being put back up for sale. Deposits are non-refundable. Once buyer has cancelled the sale, paid deposits cannot be applied to future purchases and deposit is forfeited. Deposits can NOT be moved to another kid if you decide you like another one born later better. When we have received a deposit on a goat, it will be marked as “Sale Pending.” Final payment must be made in cash, by Venmo, or by PayPal (friends and family only) at the time of pick up. All transportation arrangements and costs incurred are the buyer’s responsibility. The cost of Health Certificates, as well as any other testing requested, is the responsibility of the buyer. Please let us know in advance if you need a Health Certificate, as it requires a vet visit and must be scheduled in advance.
Registration
Our Mini Nubians are registered with MDGA. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay the registration and transfer fees for kids that are sold with the registration applications. Adults are sold with the certificate and bill of sale. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay the transfer fee and put the goat into their name. The cost to replace lost or damaged registration applications or certificates is $25. Payment must be received before we will send out replacement paperwork.
